Today we will talk about a relatively new game for friends or family for 2-4 players The Quacks of Quedlinburg!
In this game, the players take on the role of a charlatan doctor from Kompogian and try to make filters ...
Each player gets his points one for his points and one for his hoop, a mouse pointer, a reset filter, a pouch for his materials and some materials to get started!
The first ingredients you get are cherry bombs which give a special spark to your filters ... but beware! Many cherry bombs inside the hoop and BOOM all go awry ...
Each material has numbers on it (1,2,4). The highest the better but also more expensive. Each material also has its own special ability that in each game you can make different combinations (choosing different booklets) to give a different character to your game!
Once all the players are ready, they all start at the same time and pull random materials that you have in your pouch. Depending on the number you draw, you place the material in your magic hoop as many places in front of the beginning, second material as many places from the previous material and so on.
Now let's go to the tricky part ... if by bad luck you catch cherry bombs that exceed the number 7, then you blow your hoop and you have some losses such as not having the advantage to roll the dice at the end of the round as well as a choice from either buy materials or get victory points.

There is a strong feeling of anxiety every time you pull an item out of the bag and wish it isn't Cherry Bomb!
The good thing about The Quacks of Quedlinburg is that if you have a lot of misfortune and your hoop is constantly popping, the game tries to help you by giving you the mouse which you place as many places in front of your hoop as there are mice in front of you to the first in points player.
Also special features and possibilities either for a specific player in his round, or for all the players together, give cards that open one by one every time a new round starts.
You play the game in 9 rounds. In the second round you can now buy Mandragoras, in the third the Ghost Breath, in the sixth another cherry bomb is inserted in your bag and in the ninth you all play at the same time and the game ends!
At the end we count the diamonds we have kept and check how full our hoop was at the end of this round by taking out the last score and the winner!
It is really a very fun game with many game alternations that we recommend it for groups of players without much experience in board games as well as children and families!
