Welcome to another Horror review from Mystery Bay! Today we will present you Mysterium a wonderful and simple toy of mystery and horror
from 2 to 7 players.
The game takes place in a mansion in Scotland, where it is said that someone was once killed in there and his spirit is trapped there.
So every time Halloween comes, the spirit is unable to speak,
has 7 hours to give visions to the investigators' dreams about who killed him in which room and what was the weapon of the crime.
One player takes on the role of the ghost and all the other players take on the role of the researchers who decided to solve this mystery.
The ghost takes the deck of visions that includes various imaginative abstract images, and tries to relate them to the elements of the crime. He then gives the vision cards to the players to make them understand what he wants to say to them!
After a series of guesses and decisive decisions, the players decide according to their visions on how, where and who committed the crime !!
If they succeed before the 7 hours (7 rounds of play) are over and their answer is correct then the ghost spirit is released and you win the game.
But if not, then the ghost will be forced to roam the empty rooms of the mansion until next Halloween perhaps come more worthy researchers who will effectively solve the mystery.
With an excellent 10 we put it 8.
The positives are that they are very easy rules, the playing time is short and does not tire (depending on the company) and that it can be played by only 2 people and up to 7! No knowledge of English is required during the game as all cards are only images and no texts.
The components are well designed and special. Even the artwork is amazing and will fascinate you !!
The downside is that its replaylability is relatively small, something you can fix with expansions.
